Supreme Court finds that First Sale Doctrine applies to sale of foreign published textbooks

ImageThe Supreme Court reversed the trial and lower appeals  court in Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley & Sons in a 6 to 3 ruling strongly endorsing the First Sale Doctrine and its application in the context of the resale of textbooks in the United States that had been published and purchased over seas.
